Afrodisiac

The number of tribes in Africa producing creative woven, printed and dyed textiles is innumerable, and the knowledge and inspiration one can gain by exploring them is unending. There are many techniques, styles, designs, motifs, colors and inspirations for textiles for home furnishing and apparels which are still to be tapped. The vast continent of Africa and its rich textile heritage cannot be ignored by designers from any part of the world who are always looking for something new, different and avante-garde in their work. It can just be hoped that in the coming years, more and more future designers turn to African textiles and tap its designs to the full potential, for the improvement of world textiles.

This has inspired me to create an ethno-modern collection, showing the tribal modernity of Africa. Afrodisiac!

Of Earth and Gold

The Zen is a state of the mind which is so pure, so tranquil, so clear and so simple. It transforms us into a world of simplicity, harmony, balance, absolute peace, tranquility and communion with yourself. It is an antidote to the stresses of modern living,

The Zen style of living takes its wonderful inspiration from the teachings of the Zen, and promises to transport us from the life of chaos to the world of meditation and sweet surrender.

So the spirals, waves, lotuses, bamboos and quotations of Osho make us feel inner peace, and we rejoice and celebrate ourselves. Everything is so pure, so basic and and vital, just like life itself.

Silk fabric adds luxury and opulence to our space, and the earthy and neutral colors make us feel more peaceful at heart. The designs are simple, elegant, classic and refined. The feeling is of Earth and Gold.

Radiant Bloom

The colorful side of India is dazzling and always inspiring. The jewel-bright colors, the pink and orange silk saris, the intricate surface patterns in palaces, rose and marigold flowers used in spiritual offerings in temples, hand-painted floral decorations on trucks and rickshaws find their way into the fabric designs. The result is a whirlwind of patterns, intense colors and textile play.

The richness of traditional helps us to re-interpret opulence and grandeur in a way that touches the nerve of contemporary fashion. This season ushers in a bustling bazaar of the mystical and magnificent grandeur of India. A paradise rich with decoration, embellishment and spectacular delights is created. Those who love luxury rebel in the new emotion, and even purists discover the attraction of this dazzling side of the world.

Fabrics are silky, shiny, rich and embellished. Velvet provides tactile thrill, while and embroidered silks and sparkling lurex threads convey exclusive and confidence theatrically. Glitter threads and folkloric embroideries add depth and artistic interest.

Lavish colors are used to create accented moods. The colors are rich, luxurious and splendid, just like the name. Grandeur is reflected from the purples, magentas and oranges. The old world royalty and pomposity reflects in this new season. The oranges and purples get more intense, as the yellow gets deeper, into a more and more mustard look. Shades of gold and copper alongside refined slate tones represent sophistication and elegance. Eclectic bright colors are used to create verve. Colors run the spectrum from moody and rustic to daringly brilliant.

Springtime Getaway

A “mountain retreat” room. A place to refresh, rejoice and rejuvenate. Springtime Getaway transports you from the hullabaloo of the cityscape to the picturesqueness of a peaceful resort.

In a season moving away from the bling, Springtime Getaway talks about designs that are minimalist while being aesthetic, and color palette that creates a very Scandinavian mood.

A range of graphically vivid motifs are set against a lively and colorful background. Birds, trees, flowers and leaves create an agreeable pattern with circles. A playfulness and refineness is created which has a very stimulating effect.

The color palette is very harmonious and subdued, with cheerfully bright sparks of purples and turquoises that work as accents. Sorbet pastel colors like pale blues, rosy pinks and pastel blues set the season going with a touch of ecru which is added as a key color.

The mood is pleasant, peaceful, picturesque and harmonious and one which reconditions revives and revitalizes.
